Crowe sponsorship helps to raise fABBAlous funds for MBCSG’s fifth anniversary ball.
To the sounds of ABBA tribute act Revival, Manx Breast Cancer Support Group’s (MBCSG) fifth anniversary ball at the Palace Hotel, sponsored by Crowe Isle of Man, succeeded in raising more than £35,000 on the night.
The accountancy firm first sponsored the event in 2017 when £25,000 was raised for the charity. Crowe also sponsored MBCSG’s 2017 and 2018 Booby Bear pink runs and, for the first time, its Peel MoonlightWalk.im in October of this year, for which more than 400 people lit up Peel Promenade in pink.
Crowe Isle of Man director Phaedra Bird said: ‘All of us at Crowe applaud the tremendous energy and dedication that the Manx Breast Cancer Support Group team devote to improving treatment and care services and the overall patient experience. That same energy and dedication goes into the organisation of their events and their fifth anniversary ball was no exception. We’re proud to be providing support to such a highly motivated local charity and to be playing our part in helping Manx Breast Cancer Support Group to advance their goals and achieve their targets.’
Manx Breast Cancer Support Group’s Julie Stokes said: ‘From day one the Manx community’s encouragement and generosity has been truly exceptional. That overwhelming support inspires us to work towards creating a truly world-class breast service for the island and we are extremely grateful to Crowe Isle of Man for their sponsorship to help us realise our long-term ambitions.’
