CCW enters sponsorship ring to boost charity’s funds

ccwfoursome_dsc2261-medium This years “Round 2” of Thriller in the Villa, sponsored by CCW in aid of Hospice and Rebecca House, has already raised more than £15,000, a figure set to increase over the next few weeks as more pledges come in.

The Villa Marina was the setting for the white-collar boxing challenge that saw ‘Team Ramsey’ – James Arneil, Robin Griffiths, Colette Hughes, Adam Jones, Aiden McDermott, Nathan Richards, Rebecca Robinson, Tara Scott and Dan Thomas- emerge winners and receive the trophy belt from Crowe Clark Whitehill director Phaedra Bird.

Fellow director Debbie Clague said the event brought together boxing and fundraising ‘to tremendous effect’, praised the contestants for ‘releasing their inner Mike Tyson or Nicola Adams’

She continued: ‘The audience really got into the contest, cheering on their teams in what proved to be an amazing community event in aid of two highly deserving causes, Rebecca House and Hospice Isle of Man whose dedicated specialist care touches so many people’s lives.

‘Crowe Clark Whitehill has been proud to serve as lead sponsor for Thriller in the Villa. With £15,000 already accounted for, Thriller in the Villa clearly packs quite a punch when it comes to fundraising on a grand scale. Well done to everyone involved.’

Hospice Isle of Man community fundraiser Steven Downward added: ‘Hospice would like to thank everyone who contributed to making the night a huge success. The atmosphere was incredible and we would like to thank Chris Mooney and his team for making it happen. All the boxers were fantastic and have worked tirelessly to raise money for Hospice Isle of Man and Rebecca House.’
