Dragons Squash Team sponsored by Crowe saw the first game of the night, advantage Rackateers as Dafydd took a comfortable 3-0 victory against Steve Gaylor.

However the tables were turned in the second game as Oliver Wait making it back to back victories in the B league with a 3-0 win of his own vs Dean Sowerby.  Oliver used his youthful energy and some excellent lengths to take a well-earned win.

Crowes’ own Jon Shepherd had a slow start to his game vs Marc Taggart and found himself 2-0 down before taking the third 15-7.  Jon then showed his resilience and drive to come back from 14-9 down to take the fourth game 15-14 and force a 5th game.  Unfortunately Marc played an outstanding fifth to take the win.

Oliver Williams of the Juniors guested up a league to make his B league debut. He came up against the higher ranked and more experienced Barry Irvine. Oli played some excellent squash but unfortunately a few unforced errors and some excellent squash by Barry showed that you need to bring you’re a game when stepping up a league. Barry took the game 3-0 although Oli scored more points than expected.

The final game was played between Ben Peach (Dragons) and Rob Boyles.  Whilst the win and the bonus 25 points were already secured by Rackateers Ben showed the same Grit and determination as Jon to come back from 1-0 down to win 3-2, 15-14 in the final match.  The tone of this match up was set in the first rally, almost 2 minutes of punishing squash was finished by a let after contact was made disrupting Robs drop.  Both players already breathing heavily and the game restarted 0-0!

The final score was Dragons 192 Rackateers 237.  The result leaves Dragons 171 behind Outcasts with 1 game to go and Outcast having already played their final match.
