ISLEXPO 2018 continues to receive dedicated industry support
ISLEXPO 2018, hosted by the Department for Enterprise, is returning to the Villa Marina on the 16th May with a host of local industry partners on-board to support.
Now in its third year, ISLEXPO will shift focus from last year’s theme ‘GROW’ to explore a new theme, ‘LOCATE’. Inspirational speakers, informative workshops, intimate fireside-chats, expert panel discussions, networking events, and think tanks will focus on location, why it matters and what makes the Isle of Man a top destination for local and global business, as well as a unique destination to work and live.
Laurence Skelly MHK, Minister for Enterprise, commented:
‘ISLEXPO is a unique opportunity for the Island’s business community to meet new people, find inspiration, and discover advice and support for growing, starting and relocating a business. This year’s event will centre on the theme of ‘locate’ as part of our continuing drive to grow the Island’s economically active population, promoting the substantial opportunities for business and career development in the Isle of Man.
‘To have such strong support from dedicated industry organisations is a real testament to the successful business ecosystem we have in the Isle of Man and our shared public/private goal of creating an environment that allows businesses to thrive and flourish.’
ISLEXPO is proud to announce partnerships with a range of local organisations and businesses for 2018. Lead sponsors include: Barclays, KPMG, Manx Telecom, CyberScience, and Sure who have also supported previous ISLEXPO events. Further sponsors include: TISE, Moore Stephens, and Isle of Man Bank who are set to bring fresh insight for the third event in the series.
Simon Scott, country head for Barclays in the Isle of Man, said:
‘At its heart, our Shared Growth Ambition at Barclays is about making decisions and doing business that provides our clients, customers, shareholders and the communities that we serve with access to a prosperous future. We are committed to the communities in which we operate and where our teams live, and supporting entrepreneurs and local businesses in the Isle of Man to grow and develop their businesses.
‘We’re very pleased to continue our sponsorship of the main stage at ISLEXPO 2018. This year’s theme of ‘location’ will promote the Isle of Man as a progressive centre for international business and will highlight the benefits of doing business here.’
International corporates, small businesses and entrepreneurs will join off-Island delegates interested in what the Island has to offer as a leading business destination and unique place to live and work. Industries from across the board are represented, ranging from e-Gaming and financial services to tech start-ups and food and drink producers.
A range of Sponsorship opportunities are still available, making it possible for companies of any size to take part in the Island’s biggest and most varied business event. Benefits include enhanced networking opportunities, five-star brand exposure, quality air time during key moments, access to VIP hospitality events, and more.
Registration for ISLEXPO 2018 will open in February. The programme will be announced in March.
