OMI Douglas RUFC uses their advantage and picks up additional new sponsor, Crowe Clark Whitehill
Following on from Crowe Clark Whitehill’s sponsorship of Team of the Year at the Isle of Man Sports Awards in March, which was won by OMI Douglas Rugby Union Football Club (DRUFC), they have decided to support the club going forward by sponsoring the club directly. This includes sponsoring a pitch-side board and a match day lunch at the club’s Port E Chee ground.
Crowe Clark Whitehill director Phaedra Bird said: ‘We were pleased to see OMI Douglas Rugby Club recognised at this year’s sports awards. The players and management are worthy ambassadors for the sport and the club enjoys a loyal following. It’s also making great headway in the national league where it currently ranks at level six and looks sets for further advancement next season. We’re therefore delighted to lend heightened visibility to OMI Douglas Rugby Club through our sponsorship and look forward to following their progress at home and away.’
DRUFC’s Tony Wilson-Spratt said: ‘We’re very grateful to Crowe Clark Whitehill for their continued interest and support. To be aligned with such a respected firm is a welcome vote of confidence in the club and our players and over the coming season we’ll be making every effort to consolidate our reputation as the Island’s leading rugby union football club.’
